Research and education in the Department of Pharmacology focus on how drugs work, from how they react at the molecular level to how they affect the human body. The department has four independent research groups and teaches pharmacology to medical students.

The department's research is divided into four main themes.

1. Drug Target Modeling
2. Neuropsychopharmacology
3. Clinical pharmacology
4. Herbal medicine

We are actively involved in transforming basic medical science into new treatments and diagnostics. To this end, we are collaborating with outstanding basic and clinical laboratories and research institutes both in Korea and abroad. We will strive to lead creative medical science research toward the advancement of medicine and contribute to the creation of an academic community that contributes to human health by coexisting with the local community.
